sometimes we say things we don't mean.
in msn, i could type something, but it could be misinterpreted because the tone was not heard or because of the wrong choice of words.
sometimes, we make empty promises. not as in literally " i promise that..." then don't fulfil what we said we would do, but rather the more casual empty remarks. things that we didn't really think of as promises, but that others(e.g. the "recepient") may have.
"one day must...." or "remind me when..." are some such remarks that i've both heard and made before.
sometimes we say these without thinking. things that we WANT to (or wouldn't mind)fulfil, but which we never thoroughly thought through beforehand what it would require of us. then when the time comes, we realise that we aren't able to do it. or we forget about what we've said. or we say taht we weren't serious.
sometimes we say things just to make others happy at that moment. but this mean taht we may have presented a hope that won't materialise, that they are looking forward to...
it can be quite discouraging when you realise that what was mentioned was not taken seriously.
more caution should be taken sometimes, because what we may not view as important, others may.
