i hate z-battles.
i think most people do...
z-battles are when you feel sleepy(to the point where you can fall asleep within less than half a minute of shut-eye) but try to stay awake.
these battles were common for me during jc lectures. actually, these battles were common for me during jc. sometimes i also fight them during sermons :x and meetings :X. they've also occurred during some of the shows hat i've watched.
these battles are often accompanied by bobbing heads, extended "blinks", watery eyes, and constant yawns.
sometimes they can continue over a span of a few lectures. very sian. can't concentrate, but want to. just look at some of my lecture notes and you can tell when i had some of these battles.
those pages with terrible(i mean really really terrible. cannot fight my usual even) hand writing and incomplete equations that end with lines strewn across the page are when i resisted.
those blank pages are when i gave up fighting all together.
sometimes it goes away after i've resisted long enough. sometimes a few jumps and a splash of water to the face do the trick. but sometimes, both methods fail.
actually, another way of getting over it is to give in and just take a quick nap. fall asleep very fast one, then wake up can liao. no more z-battle.
can come back lah, of course, but not so fast. a quick nap can give you some precious minutes of concentration.
heh.
just now i had a z-battle. the group effect drained me ba. and the whole day out also. so i was dozing off for the front bit of the rally. good thing i got over it in time for the talk proper. there were a couple of relapses, but those were overcome easily.
haha. time to sleep :)
